cWWII H.G. number '55' and 'SY' (Surrey). Both used, connected and removed from Battle Dress Tunic.

Formed in May 1940 from the LDV the 55th Battalion Surrey Home Guard was affiliated to the East Surrey Regiment, whose cap badge they wore.
