cWWII H.G. number '23' and 'LON' (London). Both used and removed from Battle Dress Tunic.

Formed in May 1940 from the LDV the 23rd Battalion County of London Home Guard had their Headquarters in Deptford and was affiliated to the Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment whose cap badge they wore.
