cWW2 Air Defence Cadet Corps Buttonhole Badge J.R.Gaunt London

WWII, A.D.C. buttonhole badge c1938 to 1941 period chromium plated title circlet, stylised electric blue enamel 'speedbird' emblem to voided centre, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with lapel fitting.

The 'Air Defence Cadet Corps' was founded in 1938, as a volunteer youth organisation to encourage young people to join the RAF. It was replaced in 1941 by the Air Training Corps.
