British made wartime 'white backed' Canadian North Nova Scotia Highlanders embroidered shoulder title. Rare variation with full stops. Has been glued into an album at some stage see pics of back. Otherwise, good condition, colours great and no moth.

Founded in 1936 as The North Nova Scotia Highlanders (M.G.) by the amalgamation of the Cumberland Highlanders. The regiment landed on Juno beach on 6th June 1944 D-Day, assigned to 9th Canadian Infantry Brigade, 3rd Canadian Infantry Division. A piper from this famous Regiment was playing on the beach that day as troops disembarked their landing crafts.

After D-Day the Regiment had fought al over Europe including in Zeeland, Holland and Germany.
