By autumn 1958 the Brigade appears to have been in Malta and is listed as departing that place in September. By July 1961 it is in East Africa Command and exchanges with 24 Infantry Brigade. In March 1965 Brigade HQ replaces HQ 3 Commando Brigade RM in Borneo. By August of that year Bde. HQ is now Mid West Brigade HQ. HQ was relieved by HQ 5 Infantry Bde. in October 1965. In January 1968 the Brigade, as part of 3 Div (Airportable) with 5 and 24 Brigades, form part of the Army Strategic Reserve as NATO Reserve. Morris states that the Brigade later became 7th Field Force, retaining the same badge.
