cWWII 'Gloster Aircraft Co Ltd' gilt and enamel identification badge, the reverse with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingam' and impressed with official issue number '3346'. Very good condition, complete with buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.


The 'Gloster Aircraft Company Limited' was founded in 1917 as the Gloucestershire Aircraft Company and was based in Cheltenham Gloucestershire. In 1961, the company was merged with 'Sir W G Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft Limited' to form 'Whitworth Gloster Aircraft Limited'.
