The brigade was reformed in the United Kingdom as a Territorial Army (TA) formation on January 1, 1947, taking on the title of the 107th (Ulster) Independent Infantry Brigade. It acted as an administrative and regional defence headquarters to coordinate TA units across Northern Ireland.
As the security situation stabilised following the conclusion of Operation Banner, the brigade was merged into the 39 Infantry Brigade on December 15, 2006.
