Scarce, small unit (Tp) based at RAF Odiham, Hampshire. 'Army - RAF' patch the Unit being made up of 'All Arms' Army (previously mainly RCT) and Royal Air Force Movements personnel. Removed from combat jacket. Used.

Formed in July 1982 as the Joint Helicopter Support Unit (JHSU) during the Falklands War to provide dedicated ground support for the then-new Chinook helicopters.

Evolution: It became a full squadron (JHSS) in 2009 after merging with the RAF's Mobile Air Operations Team (MAOT).

Motto: "Together We Deliver".

Current Structure: Includes a Headquarters, Mobile Air Operation Teams, Task Troops, and specialized support cells like Communications and Mechanical Transport.
