Historical Context:
Regiment: The Queen's Own Yorkshire Yeomanry was formed in 1956 through the merger of the Yorkshire Hussars, the Queen's Own Yorkshire Dragoons, and the East Riding of Yorkshire Yeomanry.
Transition: In 1971, the regiment was reduced to a squadron (A Squadron) within the newly formed Queen's Own Yeomanry.
