c1918-21, WW1 Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps (QMAAC) Cap Badge
A scarce original First World War (WWI) period 'Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps Q.M.A.A.C. cap badge'; die-stamped brass Crowned wreath of laurels, Queen Mary's on a double scroll immediately below the crown, with 'A.A.C.' within the wreath. Very good condition, complete with lugs East to West.
Height approx 47mm.
The Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps (QMAAC) was formed on the 9 April 1918 and was disbanded on 27 September 1921.It was worn on the headgear of personnel who served in non-combat roles such as cooks, clerks, drivers, and telephone operators.
