cWW1 Rifle Brigade Other Ranks Cap Badge 1910-27

RB white metal cap badge with slider. VGC.

Cap badge as worn during the Great War period, which displays the very respectable 15 Peninsula War battle honour scrolls on the wreath. The inner circlet is inscribed "Rifle Brigade". The regiment was finally entitled to 16 battle honours for the Peninsular war but, "Pyrenees" was not granted until 1910 which was after the badge was designed.
