c1929 WW2 German Nuremberg Party Day Badge Tinnie Award Third Reich
Scarce, Nuremberg Party Day Badge from 1929. This was awarded to members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: National sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter partei or NSDAP who attended the National Rally in Nuremberg in 1929.
Die-struck brass with a thin silver wash; it is designed as a shield featuring a castle at the top, an eagle on a helmet in the center, and the text "PARTEI TAG 1929" at the bottom.
The badge was later recognised as an official award and given precedence as the second-highest party award in 1936.
This badge has some silver wash missing and its original pin and maker disc (Bonn) has been replaced / converted professionally by a jeweler and and is contemporary 'sturdier' pin; highly likely commisoned by a proud N.S.D.A.P member during the 3rd Reich era.
