1934 Pre-WW2 Hitler Youth (Hitler-Jugend) Ceramic Sport Festival Event Pin Badge

Hitler-Jugend 'Siegernadel der HJ-Reichssportwettkämpfe 1934' (Youth Sport-Festival Badge). A ceramic Hitler Youth day badge with printed motif for a rally event 1934. The ceramic badge comes on its pin/catch construction. Decorative, great condition and hard to up-grade.

30mm tall, ceramic in the form of a vertical oval. To its obverse is the HJ diamond with swastika, with “21.Juni” to its upper red field and “1934” to its lower red field. A pin-back device is to the reverse. NB: Some references cite this as the sports award pin for that year. One of the classic Hitler Youth insignia from the third Reich.


From the end of 1934 Hitler Youth Sports Festivals were held throughout Germany. Originally called a 'Jugendfest', after 1937 they came to be known as 'Reichsportwettkampf'. These pins were given to all youth members that participated in these games.

Hitler Youth distributed a wide variety of badges designed to commemorate an event or rally or to sell to the public to raise funds. A 30mm tall, ceramic pin in the form of a vertical oval.
