cWW2 Nepalese Army Mahindra Dal Battalion Officer Cap Badge
cWWII, a very nice, Ofrrs' Nepal National Army Mahindra Dal locally made cast cap badge with 3 x Kukris surmounted on an inlayed enamelled block with Nagri script. Also, nice to have its cloth backing of Regimental cloth.
The Mahindra Dal Bn was one of three infantry battalions dispatched by the King to fight as part of the British-Indian Army in Burma 1943-45. It performed so well that Mountbatten instructed that its members were to be recognisable to all other Allied troops as being members of the "famous Mahindra Dal battalion".
Nepal is famous for its `Gurkha soldiers, tourism and currys!
