cWWII, 'M.G.' Cloth Qualification Distinction Trade Badge stood for Machine Gun crew. It was awarded to soldiers who were trained (1st Class) 1914 onwards to use the Machine Gun which could either be the Vickers machine Gun or the Maxium machine gun. VGC.

Worn on the lower left sleeve on the SD / BD tunic.
